OYCE 2015

Oustanding Young Chemical Engineers (OYCE) is an event that aims to integrate the vast landscape of chemical engineering, with all that is oustanding in young engineers- innovation, enthusiasm and endless opportunities. It is an initiative by Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers - Mumbai Regional Centre (IIChE-MRC), and has been a part of the chemical engineering scene for the past decade. OYCE has always been a very much looked-forward to event for students and young professionals alike. It is a matter of great pleasure and privilege for us to invite you to participate in the deliberations of this unique program which will cover a wide range of topics of interest for the participants.

IIChE

Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE) is the premier professional organization providing a platform to Indian Chemical and Allied industries, academia and research for continuous education, professional excellence and networking. IIChE is the apex body of the chemical engineering profession in India, and was established with the purpose of empowering students as well as veterans of this vast field. Established in 1947, it has grown steadily and now has around 15000 members. There are currently 33 Regional Centres and 58 student chapters along with the headquarters at Kolkata, all of which are serve as fora for interaction and promotion of innovation.

IIChE-MRC

IIChE-MRC is one of the 33 regional centres of the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE), the apex professional society of Chemical Engineers in India. The Mumbai Regional Centre(MRC) is the biggest of them all with nearly 13.3.% of the total all-India membership of almost 13250 engineers. Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi

Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi College of Engineering (DJSCE), has been a reputed educational institue since 1994, and is proud of both the legacy and the responsibilty of honing the future engineers of our nation.Under the management of Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM), it has been recognized as a premier top ranked institution, with state-of-the-art facilities and distinguished faculty, with more additions in the years to come. DJSCE offers B.Tech degrees in Chemical, Biomedical, Mechanical, Production,Computers, IT, Electronics, and Telecommunication Engineering under Mumbai University, and post graduate degrees in Mechanical, Electronics and Telecommunication, and Computers Engineering. A variety of student chapters offer a plethora of co- and extra-curricular activities. It is the aim of DJSCE to provide students with the challenges as well as the opportunities required to equip them with the skills to emerge as responsible, goal-oriented and capable engineers.

Mumbai

Mumbai, or 'Aamchi Mumbai', as we Mumbaikars say affectionately, is not only a bustling metropolis, but also a grand example of the intermingling of culture and modernity. The 'Maximum City', as Mumbai is often called, provides every opportunity for both visitors and residents to reinvent themselves, and many see Mumbai as a platform to make it big in their careers and lives. Mumbai is the most populous city in India. The capital city of the state of Maharashtra, it is widely acknowledged as the financial, commercial and entertainment capital of India. Mumbai has something to offer everyone. Home to some of India's premier scientific and nuclear institutes like BARC, TIFR, and many more, Mumbai is also a platform for performing arts- music, dance, theatre and cinema all reach a wide and willing audience. With the success of the Mumbai Metro and other infrastructural developments, Mumbai is a city on the rise. For all those who wish to visit Mumbai, we say that there is never a better time than this !
